Why are More Women Making CBD Apart of Their Daily Routine?

In the past, CBD and other components of cannabis has been somewhat taboo. Recently, science and  society has started opening up to this holistic oil and many women are consuming CBD because of its health benefits. Here's why:

What can CBD do for Women?

CBD can help with women’s health. CBD is a natural, non-psychoactive compound that helps treat anxiety, depression, insomnia and pain. It also increases serotonin levels in the brain which helps to reduce stress and promotes relaxation while improving sleep quality.

CBD has preliminarily been shown to positively affect other symptoms as well, including nausea caused by chemotherapy treatment or surgery; rheumatoid arthritis pain; neuropathic pain associated with diabetes or multiple sclerosis; inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis; irritable bowel syndrome (IBS); fibromyalgia; PTSD/PTSD-related disorders such as panic attacks and flashbacks from traumatic events such as physical abuse.

What are the additional Benefits of CBD?

CBD also helps with some more specific health issues, including weight loss and menstrual cramps. In addition to these benefits, CBD may be able to help ease symptoms of menstrual cramps in women who have endometriosis or fibroids. Full spectrum CBD can also be used as an anti-inflammatory agent for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).  CBD may be beneficial for menopause symptoms, including hot flashes and night sweats. Lastly, CBD has shown some promise in suppressing tumor growth in breast cancer as well as preventing metastasis (the spread of disease).

Today, you can find CBD in a variety of forms; there are edibles such as gummies and cookies, CBD topicals like creams and salves and tinctures or oil which are drops you can place under the tongue.  The benefit of taking CBD oil under your tongue is that it absorbs into your system faster than other methods since they bypass having to go through digestion first. More and more women are seeing the health benefits of adding CBD, a natural component to their wellness routine.
